With the success of the Survive ARK Companion app on Android and iOS, I got a lot of emails about translations for the app. However, I’m not able to translate the app to every language available, so there is where you guys are needed!
Help translate the app
A GitHub page is set up where you can find the file with all the words and phrases that can be translated. You can add translations for any language you know! You can even edit the existing English text if you believe that something could / should be phrased differently.
Currently the main languages that need translations are: Danish, German, Greek, English, Spanish, French, Italian, Japanese, Norwegian, Dutch, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Turkish and Chinese. So if you are the person that speaks one (or more) of these languages, you can go ahead and start on translating parts of the app already! Don’t worry if your choice of language isn’t listed; you can contact me with the language you want to have added and I will add it to the list of current available languages.
Credited in the app
After a good portion of the app has been translated to another language, it will be added to the live version. When this happens, you will also be added to the “Contributors” page that will be added to the app in the next version. If you want, you can even have a link added that points for example to your Youtube channel or Twitter account (or (almost) anything else)!
Where to start
The GitHub page contains all the information you need to get started. If you still have a question after reading that page, you can open an issue or contact me and I’ll help you out.
