Patch v233 has just hit our games today and this brings us a lot of new content. We will cover some of the hightlights in this post and provide you with all the information you need to be up to date with the latest patch. Breakdown time!
Electric prod
This weapon has been in the dev kit for a while, but now it is finally released for you to use. The electric prod can stun creatures and enemies when you hit them. It looks a bit like the weapon from TR-8R weapon in Star Wars, don’t you think?
The torpor damage it does is massive. Testing indicated that a primitive (100%) electric prod can already KO a level 1 Gallimimus in a single hit (so that’s 420 torpor at least!). The damage percentage has influence on the amount of torpor damage you will do, so finding an ascendant one will make you KO almost all the creatures out there. This will also give a nice touch to PvP, as it is even easier to KO other users now. Also good to note, the electric prod didn’t do any damage to the Gallimimus, making it a perfect tool for taming high level creatures.
Do remember that you can only use the electric prod once (this means that you can hit something once, if you miss it will not count as “used”). After that it will “break”, like a spear, and can only be repaired (read: recharged) in a fabricator. This means that you will bring a couple of you go out hunting, as you cannot repair them in the field. Repairing the electric prod can be done for the low price of 8 Angler Gel.
You can craft the electric prod in the fabricator with the following resources:
- 120x Polymer
- 130x Metal Ingot
- 120x Electricons
- 70x Cementing Paste
- 120x Crystal
- 15x Angler Gel
In order to unlock the engram, you’ll need to be level 80 and have 60 Engram points available.
Spawn commands
For those wanting to get an electric prod spawned in, you can use the following command:
GiveItem "Blueprint'/Game/PrimalEarth/CoreBlueprints/Weapons/PrimalItem_WeaponElectricProd.PrimalItem_WeaponElectricProd'" 1 1 0

Gallimimus (and 3-seater saddle)
Another creature dropped on the ARK island: the Gallimimus. It’s a pretty fast creature, so be prepared to follow it around if you want to knock it out. It is a herbivore (so mejoberries as normal food), but luckily has a kibble. Only problem: its favorite kibble involved Dimetrodon eggs. The full recipe is: 1x Dimetrodon egg, 1x Citronal, 1x Cooked Meat Jerky, 2x Mejoberry, 3x Fiber, 1x Waterskin in a cooking pot.
The saddle can be crafted in the smithy, and the following resources are needed for this:
- 240x Hide
- 160x Fiber
- 120x Wood
- 25x Metal Ingot
The saddle is unlocked at level 50 and will cost you 20 engram points.
It is also possible to position yourself in the front or backseat, however you will not be able to ride it in those spots.
Spawn commands
If you want to spawn a Gallimimus into your game, you can do so by using the following commands:
For a random level:
summon Galli_Character_BP_C
For a specific level (change the last 1 to the level you want):
SpawnDino "Blueprint'/Game/PrimalEarth/Dinos/Gallimimus/Galli_Character_BP.Galli_Character_BP'" 1 1 1 1
The saddle can be obtained with the following command:
GiveItem "Blueprint'/Game/PrimalEarth/CoreBlueprints/Items/Armor/Saddles/PrimalItemArmor_Gallimimus.PrimalItemArmor_Gallimimus'" 1 1 0
Taming
The Gallimimus is hard to knock out, as it flees immediately when hit (and it is fast!). Apart from that, its health is pretty low so you can kill it easily when trying to knock it out with arrows or even darts. The best approach would be to use the electric prod, or darts if you don’t have access to the prod, as all other ways will almost definitely result in killing it.
When you’ve knocked it out, it’s time to feed it. The Gallimimus is a herbivore, so it will take mejoberries. Aside from that, it also has a kibble that vastly improves taming time. However, you’ll need Dimetrodon eggs to make it. Currently a level 1 Gallimimus can be tamed in around 10 minutes with 6 kibble, and a level 120 will take around 45 minutes to an hour with 34 kibble. For a more level dependent count, you can use our taming calculator!

SWAT-armor (or riot armor)
This update also brings a new armor-tier: SWAT style! You could have already seen some previous of this in a recent post, or scroll a little down to see some more in-game pictures. The riot gear seems to have influence on the amount of torpor damage you take, meaning that a full set can keep you conscious no matter what (even the electric prod will have difficulty getting you down). Furthermore it has decent protection from cold, but isn’t very good against heat. The durability against bullets still has to be tested.
The SWAT/riot outfit can be unlocked at level 80 and each piece costs 40 engram points (so 200 points in total). You’ll need the fabricator and Ghillie outfit in order to unlock them. The material costs are as follows:
Riot Helmet
- 50x Polymer
- 25x Silica Pearls
- 7x Hide
- 3x Fiber
- 35x Crystal
Riot Chestpiece
- 70x Polymer
- 40x Silica Pearls
- 10x Hide
- 4x Fiber
Riot Gauntlets
- 25x Polymer
- 15x Silica Pearls
- 5x Hide
- 2x Fiber
Riot Leggings
- 70x Polymer
- 40x Silica Pearls
- 12x Hide
- 5x Fiber
Riot Boots:
- 30x Polymer
- 18x Silica Pearls
- 6x Hide
- 4x Fiber
So in total the costs would come down to:
- 245x Polymer
- 138x Silica Pearls
- 40x Hide
- 18x Fiber
- 35x Crystal
Honestly, it could have been worse for the resources if you ask us.

Screenshots
The screenshots of the electric prod also include the SWAT armor, but still: here are some more without anything equipped. Also note that you can see perfectly through the glass of the helmet; even better: there is no difference between wearing and not wearing the helmet.
Greenhouse structures
New structures can also be found in this patch. From now on you can create a nice little place for your crops to grow. The greenhouse structures are see-through and have a positive effect on the growth speed of your crops. This means that you will need less fertilizer before the crops are fully grown, and will get more resources from it in a shorter period of time. Note that the greenhouse do not provide a foundation on its own, so you need to add a wooden / metal / whatever foundation first to build your greenhouse on.
In order to unlock the greenhouse structures, you’ll need to have metal structures unlocked. In total the greenhouse structures cost 180 engram points (30 for the ceiling and wall / 15 for the door, doorframe, window, sloped walls left and right and sloped roof) and require you to be level 50. The individual costs are as follows:
Doorframe
- 5x Metal Ingot
- 20x Crystal
- 5x Cementing Paste
Door
- 3x Metal Ingot
- 10x Crystal
- 4x Cementing Paste
Sloped Wall (Left / Right)
- 4x Metal Ingot
- 15x Crystal
- 4x Cementing Paste
Wall
- 7x Metal Ingot
- 25x Crystal
- 7x Cementing Paste
Sloped Roof
- 10x Metal Ingot
- 35x Crystal
- 10x Cementing Paste
Ceiling
- 10x Metal Ingot
- 35x Crystal
- 10x Cementing Paste
Window
- 1x Metal Ingot
- 25x Crystal
- 7x Cementing Paste
Currently there is no window frame available. This means that you can build a window, but you cannot place it. Also keep in mind that you will need a source of water in your greenhouse. So remember that you build an irrigation pipe to your greenhouse, or add a water tank to it!

Deep sea loot crates
With this new patch, we also get access to deep sea loot crates. The loot crates are available at level 80 and contain a lot of high level blueprints (e.g. ascendant saddles). We haven’t found the exact locations of them yet, so if you happen to come across one please let us know where you found it. That way we can create a list of the known locations of the loot crates.
We’ve found the spawn command for the ocean loot crate, so you can use this yourself to spawn one directly in front of you (even outside of the water):
summon SupplyCrate_OceanInstant_C
Some screenshots to show you how they look:
Special admin hats
For the developers and testers, this patch also brings custom hat skins. That way you can easily distinguish between a random player / hacker and an actual developer. We will be adding screenshots of the hats as soon as we can find them. Currently there are hats available for the following people:
- Wildcard Admin Team
- Wildcard Non-Admin Team
- Authorized External Testers
- Dev Kit Masters
Spawn commands
Game Tester hat (Green)
GiveItem "Blueprint'/Game/PrimalEarth/CoreBlueprints/Items/Armor/Leather/PrimalItem_Skin_Account_GameTester.PrimalItem_Skin_Account_GameTester'" 1 1 0
Wildcard Admin hat (Red)
