A new DevKit update was released by Wildcard earlier today, which brings us up to v232. The previous DevKit version wasn’t released too long ago, so there aren’t many ground breaking features found, however there are some interesting things we would like to share with you. Explorer Chests Wildcard has stated that there will be more “lore” and information to be found on the island. A while ago, we’ve posted an overview of the dropped item meshes that are available in the DevKit. When we currently drop an item in ARK: Survival Evolved, you’ll see a bag regardless of what you dropped. The devs are working hard to create meshes for each type of item, so that you will be able to see what has been dropped. Today, Drake released some pictures of the upcoming Dung Beetle and Dimetrodon. We already showed you some pictures of them in our devkit preview, but now you can also see how they will look in the game. They will be released in the upcoming v232 patch. The Dung Beetles are around the size of a large dinosaur feces and can have the most beautiful colors (check out the rainbow ones). Today a new version of the devkit was released, v231.2, which brings us back up to speed with the PC patches. We’ve dug around a little and we came across a lot of newly added (unreleased) creatures! So which ones can you expect? What did you think about the Giant Beaver, Dung Beetle, Dunkleosteus, Ichthyornis, Lystrosaurus (even colored) and Terrorbird? Today the new patch was released, which brings us to version 229! This patch includes some adjustments for the New Year’s Eve ball that will drop at 12PM EST in all servers, some minor changes such as all items being on the item ID list again and warming up the Winter Wonderland event by 25% and, most importantly, the Procoptodon!
